1 out of 5 stars Jersey Shore: Uncensored   July 11, 2010

I was soooo very dissapointed with this DVD...it wasn't even the whole season. You didn't even put in one of the funniest parts of the season and it was when Pauly D. was being stalked by stalker girl, or when he argued with her on the phone. I wish I could get my money back. I will NEVER buy a Jersey Shore season dvd every again.

5 out of 5 stars Love this show!   July 8, 2010

This show is hilarious, and Snooki really wins you over with her genuine nature and open heart. She's like a little drunk hamster. If you are a fan of the show the DVD set is worth it because there are some things you've not seen before. If you've never watched this show but enjoy drunken antics and heartfelt talks, it's a fun ride.

5 out of 5 stars Reviews are WRONG! A *True* Fan's Review:   June 27, 2010

Let me start out by saying that I've been a fan of reality shows for many years know, and I know when they are released on DVD, often times SOMETHING is still censored, I'm ok with that as long as a majority of what is bleeped is unbleeped.

Things you wont see: Nudity. Any form of nudity is still blurred, and the middle finger is still blurred. I assume its because they put a blurring layer over the actual film and to unblur for middle fingers, you'd probably have to go back and reblur all the nudity. So middle fingers and nudity is out (not that there was much anyway) You won't hear the F-Word if its being used in a sexual manor, other than that, they swear like sailors and I'm very surprised that I didn't notice just how much they before when it was bleeped ironically. Snooki gets punched however, they ONLY show it in that episode. All recaps/Reunion footage blacks it out like you remember it on TV. The reunion is censored which is a bit of a letdown. The LMFAO theme song has been changed to a more nondescript trance song which I'm sure was for copyright reasons. The 4 discs rest in a neat little bundle that is the size of a standard DVD.

The picture is fine, just as good as it was on TV (I've seen it on a 32" Widescreen set and it looked perfect, just like when I watched it on my standard "big box" tv from the early 2000s)

Sound is perfect, never bothered me once.

Special Features include: The Reunion which like I said is censored still, A very poor special feature "Tips From the Situation and Snooki" which could have been a LOT better. The Before The Shore episode is included as well. Although I feel that they SHOULD have included "Jersey Shore: Spoof'd" But alas, copyrights im sure played a roll in it, so I cant fault them, I would rather have them release it sooner than wait even LONGER for a 30 minute special thats nothing but YouTube vidz anyway. Other special features (a handful of deleted scenes,) do have some cursing as well.

So from a REALLY BIG fan, to an unsure buyer: Pick it up. Certainly worth it in my opinion, as I watch it all the time with friends and we all have a great laugh. No, it's not 100% Uncensored but neither was the I Love New York's or the Flavor of Love's (although season 1 was completely uncensored, nudity and all)

Hope I made you warrent a purchase!

I think most people looking at this product would agree that this is an exceptional show. Just being able to watch this untalented cast gets me excited. The Situation is an inspirational individual who needs his own show, clearly. I have pitched the idea of a travel show called "The Global Situation". Just one early idea. Sitch creeping on the French Riviera, who doesn't want to see that?

Anyway, my point is, if you want to be able to watch this show whenever you want (as everyone should), you have to buy this dvd. Who cares if it isn't actually uncensored or provides any real enhancements to the actual episodes? The show is great, I want to watch the show, I'll watch the DVD.

It is not like they're charging $50 for exclusive new content. Maybe in 5 years when the cast needs money they'll release a super-awesome new DVD with a bevy of great features. WHO CAN WAIT THAT LONG? I'll buy that one too.

To give this one star is to hate on the show, unless you're doing so because Sammy Sweets is incredibly annoying, in which case this is fully acceptable.

Here is what I want from my JS dvd's:
Sitch bringing back mediocre chicks into a luke warm hot tub - CHECK
Ronnie yelling "One Shot!" and then being arrested - CHECK
GTL - CHECK

5 Stars, easy.

I purchased this as a gift for someone and they love it, can't complain about anything on this. It was everything it said it would be and very fast on the delivery.

Your 401k Account - An Annual Checkup
By Dee Marie

You probably perform a lot of tasks annually. Some of these tasks protect you, your family, or even your assets. These chores include visiting your doctor for an annual physical or cleaning the gutters on your house. Well, next time you're making your list of 'must-do's' be certain to include a checkup for your 401(k) plan on your list.

Your annual examination of your 401(k) plan should cover a few different aspects of your investment. You can check each one quickly by exploring your most recent account statement.

First, you should evaluate your contribution amount. Changes in your financial position over the past year could warrant an increase or decrease in the amount you put into your 401(k). Receiving a raise at work is a great occasion to increase your retirement contribution. Changing your contribution amount isn't what matters here; it's taking the time to decide if you should make a change.

Next, you should take a look at your investment choices. A mutual fund that was outperforming its peers at this time last year may have tanked over the last twelve months. Although it's important to remember that you don't want to change your investment allocations too often, a regular examination of the funds you've chosen isn't excessive.

Finally, you should check on the way your investment options within your 401(k) are spread. Investing in four mutual funds, you might decide to put twenty-five percent of your account into each fund. However, if one fund grows more aggressively than another, at the end of the year you may have forty percent in one fund, ten percent in another, and twenty-five percent in each of the remaining two funds. Since financial experts sometimes advise that retirement accounts should be spread among many different types of investment, you may want to rebalance your account back to your original allocations of twenty-five percent in each fund.

Making changes to your 401(k) plan isn't something that should be taken lightly. Speak with your financial advisor if you aren't certain about the direction you should be taking. Regardless of the actions you decide to take, you'll feel better about your retirement plan after taking care of its annual maintenance.
